Please excuse the trivial question but...

I'm off to Cala Gonone next week (hurrah!) and will be climbing in the local area around there. I really cannot afford to buy a pair of approach shoes so I was wondering if I could get away with just wearing my canvas trainers (which are quite old now) down to the crag?

If not, I may have to take my bulky walking boots :-S

If anyone has any suggestions they would be much appreciated!

I don't think I wore anything other than flip-flops the entire week I was there.
In reply to climbingem: Any sort of footwear should be fine, but walking boots will probably be too hot. I'd take trainers and sandals.

My friend wore birkenstocks the entire time we were there so I'm sure you'll be fine.
