My 12 year old daughter needs a 3 season sleeping bag for overnight expeditions. Ideally aroung 1kg in weight which compress to a reasonably small size.

I have looked at a few 2 seasons bags but have come to the conclusion that they will not be warm enough.

Probably spend upto £ 90.

Any ideas?

Alpkit do short ones, I'm a midget (age 12-13 on height charts) and mine suits me very well.

Would the Vaude Dreamer bags we warm enough? They come in 3 different lengths.

This is an adult bag with clips to shorten it for kids.

It might be better value to get full size ones that will do them for the next decade or so. Vango have always made decent bags - Nitestar used to be the decent entry level bags, although they are a bit heavy for expeditions - and I've been using one of their 3 season Ultralite bags for the last 10 years. But you'll find a decent range at £60-90 in most shops (Karrimor, Mountain Equipment, etc.), and they probably all have similar weight and performance.

already looking at full size . Had a look at Vango Ultralite, came to conclusion it was only a 2 season bag.

In reply to neilh: You could not do better than buy an Alpkit bag. Their stuff is great, their service is fantastic, the quality is first class. I would recommend the Skye High 600.
