Like an idiot I accidentally left my shoes (Boreal Spiders, although I doubt this is a model-specific problem!) near a hot radiator.

A small section (approx 2cm square) of the 'rand' has come unstuck on one shoe. When I flex that foot when climbing, the rubber in that place doesn't bend with the suede underneath, creating a gap. It doesn't feel any different or affect my climbing, but I want to sort this out before it gets worse.

Seems to me that putting some superglue in there and clamping it overnight will fix it, but I thought it'd be best to ask in case there's a better solution!

Cheers in advance,

Mike

Dunno about rock shoes, but I use superglue to re-stick the soles of my hill running shoes and it's fine for that and appears to be suitably flexible. (Also requires a few seconds of pressure rather than clamping overnight!)

seamgrip or wetsuit repar stuff from a dive shop should do the trick. worked for me in the past, anyway

the soles on my workboots had come loose almost to the heel, since that was the only problem with them i used some 'mitre mate'(similar to superglue) to glue them back together, they lasted another 2 years in all conditions on found on construction sites :0)

I used to skate, used 'shoe goo' for years to repair skate shoes. Now using it for climbing shoe repair and it works well. You can buy it from a shop called 'Skateslime'.

I needed the shoes fixed before I could get hold of any specialist stuff, so used plain old superglue. It's worked a treat. Cheers everyone!
