Any ideas where I can buy simple (thick) gore tex fabric (or any suitable alternative you know of) to stitch on the inside gaiter area of winter climbing salpettes which have now been ripped to shreds over the years by crampons etc?

Many thanks indeed,

Jim

In reply to jimmacfarlane: The following 2 companies both sell a range of waterproof breathable fabrics, though not Goretex. I believe you have to have some sort of "licence" from Gore to use their product.

Thanks to both - will investigate.
In reply to jimmacfarlane:

I'd suggest that the inner ankle area doesn't really need the breathability (or lack thereof...) or Gore-tex, so a straightforward, tough waterproof fabric would be okay. Pennine Outdoor or ProFabrics linked above should have something suitable.
