whats the usual climbing season for the islands? Is september too late?

In reply to centurion05: Probably not although the nights will be closing in. I've been there for my birthday (20 Aug.) a couple of times and had good weather.

As the man says - it is possible. We have stopped over into September twice, once it was terminally grim and the other glorious autumn - and quiet.
The days are closing in at an amazing rate, and unlike high summer you can only climb during the 'day'.
