LETS MAKE IT CLEAR-ADELE WAS ON FOR IT!!! SCHOOL BUILDING CLOSED

The Library, King Edward VII Upper School, Glossop Road, S10 2PW

Adele Pennington, one of the UK's foremost female mountaineers, has kindly agreed to give an talk about her exploits, at King Edward VII School (KES) in Sheffield.

The event's aim is to celebrate the 7th year of the 'Widening Participation (WP) through outdoor education' programme at KES.

The various strands of WP aim to give our pupils who would't normally get out into the Peak a chance to build their self esteem, confidence and team skills. These include one off sessions, two year programmes and weekend trips to the mountains.

Year 11 'WP' pupils have been working hard organising the event. It begins at 18.30 with nibbles, a display of photographs and the chance to chat with them about their experiences over the past 2 years. Then it's into the main hall for Adele's inspiring talk.

Please support our pupils and help them to celebrate their achievements.

The event is free. We will however accept donations on the evening towards new kit.

Adele gave a lecture at ShAFF over the weekend and was, according to those who saw her speak, an excellent lecturer with a fantastic story.
