Softshell pants any one got them are they any good thinking of getting some Moutain HardWare ones.

Got some Haglofs ones and they are great.
I use them for everything including biking.

In reply to neil0968: Soft shell trousers are very good and I think a good peice of kit to have in the wardrobe, Mountain Hardwear is very good quality but also have a look at the links below. It depends what you need out of the trousers? Is there any charicteristics you are looking for?

have worn a pair of synchros the last 2 winters and real happy.
totally soaked em out but still warm. easy to vent. simple design.
only issues are the drawcords on the cuffs dangle irritatingly, that a built in gaiter would be nice at times and the waist is not adjustable - so i added loops for some suspenders.

id buy another pair.

Decathlon Bionnassay pants. £40 and comparable with mammut, MH, Patagonia, etc.

Or the Berghaus Cascade Pants £45-00 or less - I've a pair and I'm very happy with them.
