You just sort of snap them off..the orange thing stay with the arm!! (if they don't you've bust them).
The nose piece has two positions.
There are excellent bits of kit. I use mine for cycling with the yellow lenses. Only down side is if you get water etc between the lens/insert...but its easy enough to slip the lens out and wipe it...
