The best single volume dictionary is, I think, by Collins, particularly the combined Dictionary + Thesaurus. Chambers is also very good, but not as good.

I'm a big fan of http://www.hasbean.co.uk/

They usually only roast it the day before they post it to you, and the service is very speedy. I'm busy working my way through a fair few number of their beans, and I've not been disappointed yet!

Good Coffee won't last a few months in very good condition, so any thing you save now, will be removed from the taste sensation. About a month or two at most
for beans, two weeks at most for ground. Buy it as you need it.

Either that or buy some illy vacuum packed and have espresso all the time.

Actually, as Dave says, the latest edition of the Shorter Oxford Dictionary is superb - I didn't realise you could get it for £49. The only downside is that it's two volumes and not so suitable for lugging around from one room to another. But for an office it would be perfect.

In reply to Dave B: yes your right about the coffee , i did intend to keep it in a small very cold fridge though . maybe have a rethink or negotiate a deal with sellers , dictionary looks good too Dave , size and weight not really an issue , just p'd off with not finding words I'm after in lesser versions , thanks muchly .

Seconded the idea of buying espresso. I've got a taste for Lavazza though. Always tastes good, not too expensive, and available everywhere. Yay!
