repairing rubber rand on boots
Got a pair of Scarpa Mirages which have a leather/sytehtic upper, goretex lining and big think rubber rand all the way round. Have used extensively for walking and a bit of scrambling and the rand is starting to peel away in a couple of places. There's also a tiny (2mm) tear where the boot flexes and I'd like to repair it before it gets worse. Anyone got any suggestions for something really strong I can stick it with that won't affect the goretex lining?? Someone said use bicycle repair rubber!?
In reply to Giz: think i've seen an ad for 'paint-on' sticky rubber somewhere, made by 5.10 from memory, might be worth researching?
