Heading up for some peak lime action this w/e.

I usually avoid peak this time of year, what with the midges and lack of grit friction, but since we'll be on lime, are crags such as Tissington/Staden/Chee valley as midgy as the midgy grit crags in the late summer?

In reply to Owen W-G: Generally, nowhere near as midgy. Was surprised to see midges at Smalldale last week, but it was still perfectly bearable. Staden might be similar as it is not particularly exposed but there again it is a godsend for shaded lime trad if it is very sunny. Was in Cheedale this week on a hot and still evening and there were none - I've never seen midges in Cheedale.

As of Wednesday:
Chee Tor is in disgusting condition. Depressing and sad
Max and Embankment were greasy - might be ok given few more days to dry.
Cornice gopping.
Two Tier etc. generally good condition with a few seeps on particular routes.
