Does anyone know if there is any climbing here? And if so do you have any info? I've tried google but can't find very much.

What did you google for? The german for climbing is klettern which may help?

There are a couple of pretty worthless crags there but nearly everytrhing has fallen victim of the nature protection freaks.
Better is more to the E around Kassel which is the Nordhessen/Göttinger Wald area with quite a bit. http://www.verticalworld.de/klettergebiete/goe_wald/goettinger_wald.htm

Go on http://www.dav-gummersbach.de/ausdenbereichen/0320e39b350e8e101/index.html

click on 'Aus den Bereichen' and then 'Klettergebiete im Sauerland' and you will find infos about some areas. It is unfortunately in german! Not worldclass areas but maybe close to your stay!
