seems quite vague from what i have read, but am i right thinking its a mixture of ice climbing, rock climbing, orienteering and trekking. Also are there different types of alpinism, like the differences in climbing Fitzroy compared to Mont Blanc? Stange questions i know but im bored and would like a better answer than WIKIPEDIA. Thanks.
