Scottish Tooling Series 2009 – The second Scottish Tooling Series only has one event left to go at the Ice Factor on December 5th. This will be run as a one day event so all are welcome. It is also the Prize Giving for the overall Series. The sponsors will be there to dish out the prizes and the bar will be buzzing with the war stories. For details visit our website.

Sharing Good Practice for Winter ML and MIC- These one day subsidised courses have been programmed at the beginning of the winter to offer an opportunity for freelancers and providers to come and share good practice with Lodge instructors. We will cover top tips for coaching and leading individuals and groups in winter conditions. This is a subsidised course in the hope of providing a practical and useful opportunity for those who deliver in winter.

Volunteers Programme - Glenmore Lodge and Grangers are in our third year of offering NGB training and assessment courses to volunteers. This year we gave nearly 40 places and next year we hope to help even more. Scottish Universities Safety Seminar Weekend – Over 90 students have just left Glenmore Lodge after a very successful Scottish Safety Seminar Weekend organised by Roger Wilde and the MC of S. The next event is Feb 26-28 and is a ‘weekend winter skills weekend’. You will learn essential skills to keep you safe in winter. Ski-Mountaineering Surgery Weekend – Our annual ski surgery weekend is programmed for the end of January so it is early enough in the season for you to get the top tips for the rest of the season. Various workshops for you to pick and choose from for the weekend. Ian Sherrington has yet again pulled in his top team for a great programme. Date Jan 23 - 24
