Really enjoyed Steve House's presentation at Outside tonight. It was brilliant to watch and hear how he has developed his approach to alpinism, as well his attitude to success and failure. His delivery really suited the intimacy of the venue. I'd read interviews with him where the interviewer would comment on his approachability and enthusiasm - this really carried across in his lecture and in a chat with him as well.

Many thanks to Outside and Patagonia for organising this - it was well worth the four-and-a-half hours travel to and from Hathersage for me!
