Even though I'm a retired climber, and this book is effectively just soft porn for me these days, I'm delighted my wife gave it to me for Xmas. While you saddos in UK are breathing on your fingers and dusting the snow off the Millar mitts, it'll probably be sunny, if a little cool in the Lubéron, so read this and dream about what you're missing!

I could never justify buying the topo or guidebook when we were in Provence touring, and we always wondered just what climbs we were watching across from the Fort de Buoux, while walking on the Dentelles, or from the Fort at Sisteron. This beautifully produced book will provide all the answers, and will certainly accompany us next time as we bumble around.

I was bit harsh, wasn't I, the shot of Stac Pollaidh shows there are great December alternatives to poncing around France in the sunshine with your shirt off!

Funny, last week I was climbing in The Dentelles in shorts and T-Shirt.
This morning I phoned my dad who said there's a foot of snow in the garden and I felt instantly homesick.
