anyone tried improvised rock shoe sole repairs?
Just wondered whether anybody has tried repairing worn rock shoe soles before and whether you have any advice on the matter.
I've had my current pair a good few months and have found that perhaps due to a bubble or the sole not being stuck down properly during manufacture, the edge of the sole in one spot is thinner than the rest and has come away from the rand.
This isn't simply down to wear, it started a while back (when I first got the shoes obviously the edges were all stuck down). when the very edge came apart it revealed that it was not glued a little way in and had subsequently ground thinner.
Basically I am thinking of trying to patch and thicken the sole by using a piece of rubber taken from an older pair of stickies.
any thoughts?
