Between yesterday's torrential downpours Jordan Buys came to Staffordshire with the idea of doing Dangerous Crocs. I'd class it as an on-sight, but that always opens a big can of worms, so let's class it as a very ethically sound ascent (VESA).

The route is extremely three dimensional and disgustingly rounded. It goes without saying that it is dangerous too. So all in all a fantastic ascent of this heart breaking E7 6c "the second best route on Grit!" (to quote JB).

Pictures here, he went from perky pink to drained out grey by the top out:

In reply to mark s: I know; I recall it tipped it down....

Where I would have said "sack it, it's not ideal, let's come back another time", Jordan said "whoa, that top was a bit damp"...

I love his expression on the last photo. As the comment says - says it all.

Which is the best route on grit then?

In reply to James Oswald:

In Jordan's eyes... you'll have to ask him

I liked the second last photo, reaching, reaching for that pinch, knowing if he moves his foot a millimetre he will be off.

Well done.

In reply to sutty:

Cheers. I'd gone onto rapid fire by then, so the quality went out of the window a bit, but didn't want to miss a thing, especially if he moved his foot a millimetre

At what point did he place the gear you can see in the last photo, mid-mantle??

Cool shots, cheers.

Nice shots Andi, by the end Jordan looks completely drained, both mentally and physically.

Well done Jordan.
