I am looking for a rope bag that you can fit some gear, shoes and harness in as well as a set of 60m half ropes (maybe a few sarnies as well). Prefer a rucsac style as they are easier to manage during a scramble in. Anybody know anything that fits the bill or am I wanting too much in one bag?
Cheers

ha ha good call - I used one of those for years.

I now have one of these - http://www.decathlon.co.uk/EN/vuarde-40-rope-bag-69428936/
Proper sport climbing ruck sack comes with lightweight rope bag and a place on the rucksack for clipping a coiled rope - I really rate this sack.

In reply to hezy: Big roll top drysacks are good. Cheaper than a proper rope bag and fully waterproof.

In reply to hezy: The DMM Classic is quite good and meets your requirements.

Some of the other suggestions are not really rope bags as such and are designed more for storing ropes on multi-pitch climbs. A rope bag to me includes a sheet that you can extend to put the rope on and obviates the need for coiling. The IKEA bag is fine for short approaches but I wouldn't want to carry one to some European venues.
