Did Pinnacle Ridge yesterday and I'm glad to report that it is now possible to avoid any of the remaining snow patches. Equally significant is a clear run down into Coir' a' Bhasteir being possible at last so, with careful route selection, crampons aren't needed for any conventional Cuillin outings any more.
Scottish Rock Climbs (SMC) has a variety of rock locations developed in Skye over the past decade but one Cuillin location has its own miniguide courtesy of Oxford Uni MC-

I've climbed there once, found grades reliable and the rock sound but the guide's a bit excessive on the stars and adjectives. Worth a mornings reading though!

Thanks for the report, Mike. Do you think a full Cuillin traverse would be doable (summer-style) as early as this weekend?
