we want to do Dinas Mot, Diffwys Ddu, Clogwyn u Ddysgl, Crib Goch in a day, but will be staying in Bewst-y-Coed.
Can we easily get there? we can use a taxi if it's not silly expensive.

In reply to alps_p: It's about 20 - 30minutes drive depending on traffic

In reply to A Mountain Journey: Doesn't the Sherpa bus also go from Betwys to the Pass?
Google Sherpa bus for timetables.
In reply to alps_p: u cud prob hitch it...beware the sherpa buses are absolutely rubbish

In reply to dunkymonkey17: sherpas are better than they were last year, although maybe it just seems that way cuz i'm not relying on them. n times arent great for gettin out t the pass early. either way, it's well easy to hitch.

In reply to alps_p: Make sure your rope is on view on top of your rucsac - its like being in the Freemasons for getting lifts from other climbers and tends to re-assure the general public that you arent a hitchhiking serial killer

In reply to alps_p: well its £40 betws to bangor... lol... best thing to do is hitch

In reply to adam06: wow. not cheap. We're getting off the train in Llandudno junction, I hope that Llandudno to Bewts is a bit cheaper

On a separate note, are climbs in condition now in Snowdonia? Cloggy?
forecast for Sunday looks rubbish, but Saturday hopefully will be nice and sunny.

Yes, everything is dry.

In reply to alps_p: In addition to the Sherpa buses Arriva are running the 21 bus. That goes from Betws to Pen-y-Pass and on to Llanberis.

As others have said though, hitching is very easy.

In reply to Mike Peacock: thanks. But on a late Fri night (22:00) I take it there won't be any public transport from Llandudno Junction to Betws?
 Mike Peacock 25 Jun 2010
In reply to alps_p: Surprisingly, there is! The last train is about 7:30pm, but there is a late bus:
