Beware of Map and Compass Outdoors. On their website ,this company describes itself as the leading UK retailer. However ,if you need to return an item for exchange ,you have to E Mail for an address. This turns out to be Dublin. The cost of posting to Dublin is high and recorded delivery is astronomical.I returned an item [I have proof of posting} which they say was not received. They are simply not interested. How often do they say this i wonder. There is nothing on their website to say that you have to return items "abroad" Beware!

I think most people on here will just be surprised that you actually received goods from them in the first place. For a while they were rivalling the "What climbing gear can I put in my hand luggage" threads for frequency.

Good luck in getting a refund though,

(And for completeness the answer to the luggage question is ice screws, ropes and gas canisters.)
