Summer BBQ & Fun Competition – 19th August

Competition:
Our fun competition entry starts anytime between 5pm and 7.30pm with 90 minutes to complete 15 problems. There will also be three new mini-comps with prizes running within the main event…

DMM Endurance Circuit – one attempt to see how far your forearms will last.

Ellis Brigham Mothership Trip – a head to head style route – you get 3 attempts for one big score.

TCA Grope The Slope – how long can you hang onto our sloping filth?

Amongst the prizes also have categories for novice competitors – so don’t be put off if you’ve never competed before and you think it’s only for professionals. It’s a great social event and full of help and support from every other climber.

From 7pm we will have 2 large BBQ’s fired up – meat and veggie – so bring along your own food to cook after climbing. There will also be the usual selection of food in the café if you prefer pizza and ice cream. We have a bar licence and will be serving the usual selection of beers, lagers and cider. Bring proof of age if you intend to drink.

Therapists:
As well as donating treatment prizes to the competition, TCA Therapists will also be present holding open sessions for you to get injury & preventative advice. If you’ve got any questions whatsoever then there is no better time to ask.

Ellis Brigham:
Ellis Brigham will be onsite with their mobile shop and will be offering a selection of goods, including many bargains and sound advice on purchases you might need help making.

DMM:
You will be able to get expert gear advice from the most knowledgeable people – the one’s who actually make it.

Boreal:
If you’ve ever wanted to try the fit of some different boots then this is the ideal time. Boreal will be here with their stock of demo shoes for you to squeeze into.

Cycletherapist:
Greg will be here with his mobile workshop – for servicing, gear tuning, brake adjustment, suspension servicing etc. You can enter the competition while your bike gets a bit of tlc.
Bigger work can also be undertaken on the night if he is forewarned of any needed parts. http://www.cycletherapist.co.uk
