Hi, i was wondering if its possible to repair a small burr on a snapgate and the best way to do it? As i just bought a new set of quick draws and when my friend lead with them he placed one the wrong way (even though i stressed to him beforehand which way to place!!!) so that the rope end was placed into the hanger and has a couple of burrs as he rested on it. Thanks.
In reply to philmcf: file + emery cloth/wet and dry

If it's only small you can probably just beat it flat with the spine of another krab.

Worse (but still small) nicks can be filed smooth with a small half-round file, just go lightly and don't cut too deep, it only has to feel smooth, not perfect. If you're really careful the rectangular file in most combi-tool knives can also be used but you do need to be gentle to get a good finish!

I use a smoothe sharpening stone for such things,
way less likely to go too far that when using a file.

Alternatively, use your mate's rope to lower off on it
