Andy will be back on the road this October coming to a venue near most of you with his new show Off the Wall. What's it all about? Apparently how to climb El Cap, offend a Prime Minister's wife and get rescued in style from the Eiger - his usual mix of bizarre stories from the last two years of his life.

Can't see anywhere in Saskatchewan on the list.

Andy, if ya come I can't promise a big turn out but I can promise it'll be f**kin cold. Plenty of scope for an adventure.

In reply to Speakers from the Edge:

Any chance of a venue in Birmingham? - nearest is Derby at the moment.

P.S. Birmingham is a big city with lots of climbers

Nothing showing up on the Llandudno night?

In reply to Alan_2468: Afraid not this time - he came to Birmingham for When Hell Freezes Over and had a low turn out so the venue we use there was not keen to have him back. If one of the climbing walls there want to host though, they can always give us a shout!

In reply to robertmichaeladams: EICA says due to IFSA Youth World Champs at due there this week they are a bit delayed at getting Andy's date up on site - they will aim to do this by Mon next week - I will post on here once they are ready to sell tickets.

In reply to davegs: Hi Venue Cymru said they are aware of the problem on their site and they are working to try and fix it - may have to book via telephone for the moment - I will post again when they have this sorted.

Cheers,

So everyone else gets their enquiry answered but me, that's descrimination!

No "we tried to book Saskatoon but nobody knew who the f**k Andy was so we decided against it" type replies.

Sorry if my above sounds bad, it's meant to be sarcasm and humourous but probably doesn't sound like it. I once asked Andy to come to Inverness and he did so I figured if I asked him to come to Saskatoon he might

Doesn't he live in Inverness, though?

In reply to Speakers from the Edge:

I saw Andy at a talk at Redpoint last year or year before. The talk was about climbing El Cap with Karen. Is this the same material?

Even though it was brilliant & highly recommended, I don't want to go see the same talk twice.

If it's different material though, I'd love to go.
Speakers from the Edge 21 Sep 2010
In reply to jessyb55: Hi, Andy says he will be talking about his most recent trip to El Cap this summer when he set out to climb El Cap in a day and to solo El Cap in a day - there will be a little bit about his climb with Karen but this is essentially a new talk with new material.
Speakers from the Edge 21 Sep 2010
In reply to Speakers from the Edge: Only 24 tickets left in Inverness, so don't hang around if you are thinking of going.

One rule for one...

I came to see you at Leamington Spa, and can recommend it, if only to listen to someone from Hull repeatedly saying "snow". And the paedophile gag.

In reply to Speakers from the Edge: So did anyone go last night? Be great to hear what people thought?
 Si Withington 06 Oct 2010
In reply to Speakers from the Edge:

Yup, I went. Andy K up to his usual tricks. Stories of epics and innapropriate jokes - good stuff. Enjoyed it. If I ever become paraplegic, you can tell him that I'll be getting in touch for a sojourn on El Cap.
 sleavesley 07 Oct 2010
In reply to Speakers from the Edge: I went last night to Shrewsbury, I took my old man who just thinks I'm mental for climbing things. He really enjoyed it and can now see that there are more mental people than me
A good show which I also enjoyed and would recommend going to see.
Todgerman 07 Oct 2010
In reply to Speakers from the Edge:
Yes I saw him at Shrewsbury last too, what a great night I laughed from start to finsh...even at the inappropriate stuff , he's naturally funny with this rambling style, go see him for yourselves !!!!!! you wont regret it.

Apparently aid climbing El Cap is no harder than climbing E1... Not sure I believe him!
Saw him last night at Wakefield.
Absolutely bloody hilarious!
Brilliant stuff.

(Just can't get "Captain Kirk is climbing the mountain, why is he climbing the mountain...." out of my head today!)
