The 2011 HSBC kicks off on Sunday 31st October at Redhill.

This year there will be two competitions running in parallel:

HSBC OPEN, which has 4 qualifying rounds and a Super Final

HSBC 4Fun, which is 5 rounds and aimed at juniors, beginners and intermediate climbers.

This years OPEN Championship carries a £4,000 prize fund including £1,000 top prizes for the winner of the male and female categories.

I understand that the female 1st place prize money has been reduced to £200.
Quite late in the competition don't you think? Seems pretty unfair when everyone who signed up in October did so with the knowledge that they'd get £1000 if they won. Not sure that's even legal.
Also, how did you decide that female athletes are only worth 20% of the male athletes?
