Stanage edge this weekend

did anyone get out on to stanage edge today? i was thinking about climbing there tomorrrow and was wonering how cold it was on the crag.

it was tops off at one stage - beginners error - got grit rash.

Climbed there from 1:00 'til it got dark. It was breezy/windy when we first arrived so did some routes on the plantation buttresses below the top of the edge that were catching less wind. Lovel day.

Climbed there today, decked out 5 metres up The 'Right Unconquerable' after 3 bits of gear ripped out (I didn't place the gear). It was pretty cold in the morning and the rock sapped the warmth from your fingers, but in the afternoon it wasn't too bad... until I broke my ankle decking out.

We bumped into you when we were walking up from the plantation car park and asked if you were OK as you looked pale and a bit cold, hobbling along with your walking stick. Hope you make a speedy recovery.

Yeh, thanks for the offer of the lift, I just about hopped to the car. Doesn't look like I'll be doing anymore climbing this side of Christmas though!

sunday was fine at stanage not busy and not to cold.
