Just curious. When Leo climbed Everest which route did they take up? Also how did their ascent differ from a regular ascent. Did they use the in-situ ladders or use fixed lines for example?

If you're referring to the ascent for 'the wildest dream' Mallory documentary, I'm guessing they went North Col --> North ridge route since that's the way Mallory was attempting, although I haven't seen the film so not sure...

According to Wiki Leo free climbed the Second Step after removing the ladder ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Mallory )

Wilbo is right the route in the WIldest Dream was the North Col route and they climbed the second step without the ladder
