How do we use Nikwax Rope Proof?
My rope and other rope cleaning articles say not to wash above 30 degrees

Nik wax how to use states to wash at 40 with nikwax then tumble dry on low
temp?
Is this going to damage my rope or not I'm confused, do i ignore manufacturers instructions or just not use nikwax.

In reply to lm610: Ignore the manufacturers, they are super duper cautious. Sterling Ropes state that their ropes are thermally stable to 300 degrees F/ 148 C

I washed mine at 40 and they not broke yet!! :p

It needs the heat for the proofing to work, and like stated before i dont think that the extra 10 degrees is going to make a difference.
