Chris,
It's nothing to shout about. Around 30 or so problems (V1 to Sharma V10) on backcountry granite..very fine grained. Very impressive surroundings and thoroughly alpine. Should be good in July...but the bugs! It is at the base of Mount Humphreys or more specifically the peak in front of it called Peaklet (10 pitch 5.10 up it's east face). Also a good 300ft Tuolumne like cliff next to it. One route up this, a bold Galen Rowell route - I managed the first pitch and whimped on the second.
You approach past the Bardini's, past Sherman Acres....high clearance. Park at a trailhead next to McGee Creek...between Humphreys and Basin Mountain. Follow a trail by this creek for 2 miles to a waterfall and the boulders are beyond the waterfall. ...at just shy of 10,000ft.
The Smokestack boulders at the base of the Wheeler Crest are fewer but better....and Rock Creek...both good summer granite venues.
