Top coach and competition climber Corinne Theroux (Arco and World Cup winner) and her husband Oliver Germond (climbing training expert) have set up a company called Team Kyou. Corinne herself coaches over 30 competition climbers in France and is now offering a series of one day workshops across France and England to help you plan your training and reach your climbing goals. In addition they offer bespoke training plans.

She is working with me, Katherine Schirrmacher, and Mark ‘Zippy’ Pretty (British junior competition team coach and 8c climber) to deliver these courses in Sheffield and London. The French have for many years led the way in terms of performance in both competitions and on the crag. Here’s your chance to tap into their methods.

The set of 3 day long courses are also complimented with a series of outdoor courses in the Peak District, Fontainebleau, Ailefroide and Margalef to help you even more achieve your goals.

Performance on the crag -perfect your technique and climb some of the best boulder problems in the Peak. Gritstone climbing, like Fontainebleau, requires precision, balance and often a dynamic style - all necessary skills to appy to any rock type. Focus on projecting classic boulder problems.

Part 1: General Preparation -Creating the building blocks to prepare your body properly for long term training (building muscle, aerobic/cardio, volume in bouldering/routes). This workshop will help you achieve a solid base to work from. £80 for the day
• Sheffield 30th October 2011 - Katherine

Part 2: Technical skills and tactics -This workshop looks at pace, route reading to be more economical, more co-ordinated and organised while climbing. £80 for the day

Part 3: Specific Preparation -How to approach the specific goal you have in mind (and putting everything together from parts 1 and 2). From here you be one or two months from achieving you climbing goal. £80 for the day
