[Dave MacLeod & Tim Emmett - The Brothers Karamazov (E9 6c) Pembroke]
From Black Diamond:

"This past autumn, Black Diamond athletes Dave MacLeod and Tim Emmett ventured to the ultra-scenic crags of Pembroke, South Wales, a place known not only for its bold, beautiful lines on striking seaside cliffs, but for its notoriously finicky conditions that can make redpointing an exercise in extreme patience. The video gives an intimate look at the intricacies of UK climbing and details Dave and Tim's efforts on some of Pembroke's best (and headiest) routes, including Dave Pickford's The Brother Karamazov (E9 6c)."

It is a long way from many places! I'd love to climb there but have never had the chance either. Plenty of people in Southern Britain won't have climbed in Glen Nevis or Reiff, let alone all the ace Scottish crags that many won't have even heard of! The UK isn't really such a small country when you are at one end of it!

You mean you wrote this without visiting Pembroke?

Sounds like justification for a jaunt, it is definitely worth the drive!

I suspect that given his pedigree it was said with hint of sarcasm.
In reply to summo:

I suspect he was speaking of Dave M rather than himself, but possibly I'm missing some layers of irony.

Anyone know what the route which isn't either Brothers K or Trevallen Pillar is?

The start of the vid said that Dave had never been to Pembroke - hence my comment. I have been there scores of times.

Is Pembroke really known for its poor conditions? Everytime I've been it has been beautiful!

You might be getting 'conditions' and 'weather' mixed up?

He's been using them for a while.

I reckon because the Styx are amazing but not longer in Scarpa's line, and their supposed replacement are shit (and orange), he dyes his Styx so it looks like he's wearing Insticnts and thus 'represent' a current Scarpa model.

Hope i'm wrong and they are indeed bringing back the Styx though.
In reply to UKC Videos: Sweeet vid!!! Psyche for pembroke is HIGH!!
