According to Bjarte Bø and Anne Grete Nebell's website http://home.no.net/bjartebo/main.html there has been two new large rockfalls on Troll Wall on the 10'th and 11'th of may 2003. The rock fall was in the vincinity of 'Død åt alla prektige blonde vikingar' ('Death to all pretty. blonde vikings') and according to the website the route is affected from pitch 10 all the way to the top. A picture of the affected area of troll wall is found on http://home.no.net/bjartebo/pages/ras03.html

So I guess troll wall will be even less popular now.

In reply to jonas:

I spent 4 nights not far from it in April (i.e 100 feet!) - I'd say the whole f*cking things about to fall down. Like I've said before 'on the troll wall their is no objective danger...only danger!'.

In reply to andy Kirkpatrick:
know what you mean - a friend and i attempted the east pillar route last year and witnessed 3 major rockfalls within the first day's climbing, not to mention being continuously pelted by stones !
needless to say we abandoned it and climbed Bispen and some other more stable stuff instead...
