With Easter looming and traditionally a great time to visit Pembrokeshire, here's a link to the latest information on access for climbing at Castlemartin and the South Pembrokeshire Coast:-

http://www.thebmc.co.uk/News.aspx?id=4212

Also note that the dates for the MoD/National Park briefings for all climbers who wish to climb on Range West have also been announced. In 2011 these will be May 28th, June 25th, and July 30th.

In reply to Elfyn - A+C Officer For Wales:

Do you have to attend one of these briefings each year, or just go to one once?
OP Elfyn Jones 07 Apr 2011
In reply to Elfyn - A+C Officer For Wales:

Unfortunately it has to be done annually, and this year's briefing will only be valid until the end of January 2012 - the reasons given are that the detailed arrangements can vary each year, that the military's use of the range also varies, and it's also a requirement of the MoD nationally for all of its ranges, for all individuals, including military personnel.

Any info about Range East?
OP Elfyn Jones 07 Apr 2011
In reply to ojp:
All the information required for climbing access to Range East is on the link to the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park leaflet in the BMC article, duplicated hbelow:-

http://enjoy.pcnpa.org.uk/new_site/AspUploader/savefiles/Climbing_english.p...

Access to the cliffs of Range East is freely available when there is no firing on Range East, and there is no requirement for any briefings or registrations.
