Midge situation at the moment anyone? Thinking of heading to G. Brittle or Gairloch Mon/Tue.

Check for ticks if you go into vegetation though, few of them about.

was in glen brittle last friday, ardverikie wall yesterday and gairloch today. no midges yet! happy climbing

still no midges in skye as of today. They will be arriving soon though with this unseasonaly good weather! Some ticks roaming around....

In reply to david14: was in knoydart all last week, as said no midgies!! however loads of ticks, i didnt get any (despite wearing shorts a fair bit) but others did and have taken 60 or 70 off the dog!!
