There seem to be more ticks than usual in the Lakes already. Last week I walked from Hartsop to Hayeswater, over Rest Dodd, and along to The Nab. I then went down into Bannerdale, where I picked up 20 ticks, and a few more on the path up to Angle Tarn. Luckily, I was wearing light-grey trousers, so could see the little bastards crawilng up my leg. After reaching Angle Tarn I had no more.
The sooner there is an anti-tick spray the better.
