The UK’s only “stand-up mountaineer” Andy Kirkpatrick is a natural performer to rival the top comedy acts in the UK. His style coupled with his love for all things extreme make for a unique evening of entertainment, with stunning images and footage accompanying his tales of terror from the steep.
Andy is a hugely popular speaker as comfortable on stage as he is lashed to an ice-clad mountain in a 100mph storm. The night will whisk you from Andy’s story of climbing El Capitan, a dramatic rescue from the North Face of the Eiger, a near drowning at Cape Wrath and how Andy saved Johnny Depp (in the filming of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, where Andy did the stunts!)
“Andy is one of the funniest of Britain’s top climbers and represents what is best in modern British climbing: boldness, innovation, sense of humour, irreverence, commitment and an appetite for risk.” SIR CHRIS BONINGTON.
