Yorkshire Area Meeting - Monday 6 June @ 19.30

Hi

The next Yorkshire Area Meeting is on Monday 6 June at 19.30 hours at the Dyneley Arms, Pool in Wharfedale, Otley, LS21 1ET. It's just up the hill from Caley, at the intersection (crossroads / traffic lights) of the A660 Leeds Road and Pool Bank New Road & is easily accessible on the X84 Leeds - Skipton bus route for those who don't want to drive.

Topics for discussion meeting will include the usual stuff eg:-

Access & conservation.

Youth

National Council meeting

Clubs Committee

Clubs’ Issues - let me know if you've got any

Individual Members’ Issues - similarly let me know if you've got any

Hillwalking

There’ll be free food as usual after the meetings at around 21.00.

Hi

As well as the usual topics we'll also be discussing the impact on Area of the Yorkshire Dales National Park (YDNP) budget reductions & staff restructure & Kathryn Beardmore, Head of Park Services at the YDNP Authority will be attending to discuss it.

Other items will be the BMC's Sustainable Energy Policy & its Position Statement on Wind Farms.

Cheap beer as well, as it is a Sams house they almost give it away for around £1.35 a pint.

I'm sure its quite steep at £1.37 these days!

I'll be driving though, so it'll all be a bit academic for me!
