Craig y Gesail at Tremadog is often thought of as Tremadog's "forgotten" cliff, and contains some wonderful (if occassionally overgrown!) gems.
The cliff lies on private land, not on open access land, but the cliff itself is covered by an access agreement negotiated between the BMC and Snowdonia National Park.
Access to the cliff is only along the permissive path from the parking area just inside the farm gate (Tyddyn Deucwm farm) at the village of Penmorfa, and cars should only be parked just inside the the farm gate, and definately not further up the track near the farm.
In recent days there have been issues with some climbers parking at the farm itself and also allowing dogs to wander off leads, in one case other climbers reported being attacked by a climbers dog, which was not on a lead!
The tenant farmer is very amenable and accomodating to climbers, but poor behaviour and inconsiderate parking could jeopardise access, so please follow the instructions in the current guidebooks and on the BMC RAD
