Beacon scar - crag clean up

Hi Guys,

I heard that there might be a crag clean up at Beacon Scar, anyone know when it is planned??

In reply to Simonj: hope it goes ahead and would be willing to chip in but that would be some clean up 1 and would probably last a few weeks as the crap from the top gets washed down again.

mongal,gehenna,tremor,nail file and beacon buttress are cracking routes mind.

In reply to jas wood: And to be honest all clean enough for ascents. Have done Nail File, Tremor and Mongol recently and they were ok. It's only really the totally forgotton (Yellow Peril etc) and the easy (but good) slab climbs that get really dirty.

Would lend a hand, if there was some sort of clean up. Where did you hear this?

I heard the clean up was mentioned at the local BMC meeting recently.
Is gehenna clean at the moment??

In reply to Simonj: Another one that doesn't get filthy, but will not be spotless at any point unless it sees lots of ascents in a row. It's a quality route. It's part of the Beacon Scar experience, the fact the routes generally have a slight dustiness to them!
