midges at Brownstones

Well folks... if you go to Brownstones over the next few days watch out for the dry husks that used to be people who have been sucked dry by the midges!

My sympathies but it did seem like ideal conditions for the
little sods. I normally use skin so soft which worked great ,
then found out the co I work for have released an insect repellant.
I've used it in the quarries and brownstones when the sods where
feeding with good results ie no bites so far

btw *I* didnt go to Brownstones... hubby and sprog did! they came back looking like they'd been munched on to within an inch of their lives! lol!

Try an let me know and I'll see if I can get over, let them try it

In reply to GeoffM: is that the stuff that's made from bog myrtle? It grows all over the boggier bits of the Highlands (and the Lakes) and I saw a programme on the box a few years ago about Boots funding trials.

In reply to Pauline: Just go bouldering with someone who smokes like a chimney! My mate smokes 'drum', that usually keeps the buggers away!!!!
