Does anyone know what's happening with Kendal YHA ? I know a new independent hostel is supposed to be opening instead, I'm trying to find out when that might be (in time for the Mountain Festival I hope !).

New owners have taken over, I beleive £20.40 per night, same phone number, google kendal youth hostel for it, and a website something like kendalyouthhostel.co.uk or kendalhostel anyway ring her, she seems nice, go on i`ll google for you, 01539 724 066.

In reply to sjc: Thanks very much. I had tried googling with no joy, and I had phoned the number left on the YHA answerphone message, nobody answered and nobody phoned me back. Anyway, I have now found it (with your help)under www.kendalhostel.co.uk
