The Reel Rock Tour is a collection of the best North American climbing films of the year. It started in 2006 when Pete Mortimer from Sender Films partnered up with Josh Lowell from Big Up Productions. Last year it screened in over 200 locations to 55,000 people and its trailer has had over a quarter of a million hits online.

November 18th – Dublin - Trinity College
December 10th – London – The Castle
December (date TBC) – Tyneside Cinema in partnership with Newcastle Climbing Centre
January 18th (TBC) – Bristol – Wilderness Lectures

Anybody on here at the Works in Sheffield last night for the Reel Rock UK premiere? Was a full house by the look of it.

Yeah I was there. I might have heard 250 people in attendance? There were people sitting on the floor at the back, it was that full. Although there was an empty chair next to me

I'm no film critic, but I really enjoyed all the films. Even the one about slacklining, which I don't usually care much for. Gadd and Emmet climbing on Spray On looked amazing. Gasherbrum II in winter looked soul-crushingly terrifying. Heartwarming story about a young climber and her wrong-side-of-the-tracks coach. £6 well spent.
