In reply to UKC News: Is this the first time it's been freed by a british woman? I mean El Cap that is. Not just Golden Gate?

In reply to teddy: Might want to change the headline in that case cos its a pretty major piece of news! I can't imagine there have been that many brits who have freed el cap in the first place!

Blows me away that this has not created more excitement on here.

1st Brit to free Golden Gate.
1st Brit woman to free climb any of the routes on the main section on El Cap.
Probably only the 3rd Brit overall after Leo Houlding and Ben Bransby to free any of the routes on the main section of El Cap (although itís possible that FreeRider may have had a few more?)

Amazing and inspiring ascent of one of the most incredible lines in the world.

And her blog about it is brilliant. Well done Hazel!
