Just wondering if anyone routinely was their rope?

If so, how frequently do you wash it?

I've never washed either of my ropes. Apart from the occasional muddyness.

Thanks

In reply to Tamati: not on a regular basis, but after sea cliff climbing and when muddy

In reply to Tamati: Hardly routine but I wash mine if it's clearly dirty or been in salt water.

In reply to Tamati:

Yes. When my hands start to get filthy from using it.

In reply to Ava Adore:

What setting do you iron it on?

to the OP: Yes, after I've been sea cliff climbing.

In reply to Tamati:
I've washed mine about 4 times in 5 years: Once due to a rotting sheep, twice due to guano and once when it had so much ingrained dirt in that you could hold a 4ft length of it vertically

It now needs retiring

In reply to Tamati:

washed my halves after a muddy trip to the lakes - they took over a week to dry. Drying is definitely the crux.

In reply to Tamati: haven't washed my 60m rope in 3 years. Its useful for when i want to clear the routes either side of me in the gym

In reply to Tamati: I tend to throw mine in the bath and waggle it about in warm water, but only after sea cliff climbing.
If it's realy dirty neat detol cleans it good(joke).
