A crag cleanup is taking place at Wilton 1 on 20/11/11 to remove rhododendron from the crag and quarry floor.
Climbers are teaming up with the Bolton Conservation Volunteers for the second day of a project that started in Jan 2011 and aims to eradicate this invasive species from the quarry, open up significant areas of crag tops which are currently overgrown and return the quarry floor to moorland habitat.
The more volunteers the merrier and a BMC funded spread of sarnies and chips will be provided at the Wilton Arms afterwards. Full details here:
