Dear Adam,

I am foregoing my natural annual desire to write to santa this christmas, this is due to a number of events - a) That the man in the red suit who creeps around my house at christmas is NOT santa and b) that you crushed some certified hard things this year. You have climbed 2 8c+ problems, flashed up to 8b+ and raised the route climbing bar to another level.

Now, im not sure whether you browse this site but maybe the word will float with the wind down to your throne in Czechoslovakia about my humble request. . . .

. . . come to England and climb John Gaskins' very hard problems, looking at your own 8c+ you're not shy of the ultra-hard limestone sideways shuffle.

They deserve a repeat.

You should get a bit more up to date on your knowledge of the countries of Central Europe. Adam doesn't live in Czechoslovakia and never has, as he was born a month after the Czech Republic was founded.

Always a strong choice on the christmas list, that and gloves from my mum because the climbing must be rough on my hands

and a torch on a karabiner in case it gets dark when your climbing!

Guaranteed I get one of those again this year!
