Blimy, Jerry has gone a bit thin on top since I last saw him. Still cranking though!

He's gotta be like 80!

And still cranking hard like-you-say, and still lone wolfing it at night!

An inspirational climber.

Mick

In reply to Mick Ryan - Senior Editor - UKC: You and Jerry appear to be morphing into each other (sorry Jerry!!).

Awesome history page on that link to John Gill's site.

In reply to Mick Ryan - Senior Editor - UKC:

A few years back a few of us had been bouldering up at Earl crag. Rad got the John Dunne slap, Jerry wasn't on for due to trouble with his knees.

We all ended up in the white bear pub. After a couple of pints we decided it was time to leave. One of the locals overheard this and quipped "what's up lads, beer too strong for you?" to which Jerry replied (fast as lightening) "too strong? it's like tatty watter".

In reply to UKC Articles: Hot water bottle for shoes (stuffing them inside the cover) has always struck me as a good idea...
