In reply to marky: You could get around last night, not sure about the motorway but they were clearing the A590 last night late on, sure you will be ok, might just take a while.
In reply to marky: Yesterday afternoon, with not a gritter in sight, some cars were skidding about on the hill out of kendal by the hospital, and all the traffic was at a snails pace- but I'v seen allot of gritters since, so I think it should be okay.
