Hi There,

Following on from my previous photography threads. I've just noticed the new lens i bought comes with a hoya skylight 1b filter, having read up on it a few people have advised against using it, it seems to add a salmon pink tinge to images?

Anyone found this?

In reply to CragRat_Trad:

It's a very slight tinge to knock down the blueness of sky. But just as much to protect the end of the lens (I always have a filter on each lens for that reason). The other usual option is use a UV filter, which I do prefer, though ersonally I wouldn't worry too much about using a skylight filter instead though.
